11"x 14" framed painting, acrylic on canvas - The Goddess of Spring
It was upon the twilight edge of winter, when frost still clung to the earth's bones, that the goddess of Spring first stirred.
When she opened her eyes, the snowdrops were already there. They came, pale as ghostlight, rising from the thawing earth. No wind stirred, yet they trembled, bowing in reverence before her waking.
Each year, it was the same: her return, slow and inevitable, as if summoned by the hush of the river’s song.
She drifted among the trees, trailing her fingers along bark that shivered at her touch. With every step, the snowdrops bloomed wider, casting a pale luminance upon the moss-carpeted forest floor.
