14"x 11" framed painting, acrylic on canvas
Every rooftop wore a cap of snow, and every window glowed with the warm, amber light of candle flames.
Down by the frozen lake, spinning in circles, their cheeks rosy from the cold, Gerda and Kay were skating, their laughter mingling with the toll of church bells.
Around them, trees stood tall and quiet, their branches heavy with snow, framing the scene. Icicles hung from the eaves of the cottages surrounding the lake, catching the sunlight and casting tiny rainbows in every direction.
The town found itself wrapped in the gift of Christmas cheer—a warmth not from fires, but from hearts, a light not from candles, but from love. And in that winter wonderland, Gerda knew that this moment would live on in her heart forever, like a beautiful Bruegel’s painting brought to life by winter’s tender hand.
